Thailand has set aside great areas of land throughout the Kingdom to create scores of national parks, wildlife and non-hunting sanctuaries, and forest reserves.Beyond this, Thailand is a gorgeous country to simply get on the road and travel from place to place, while taking in all the natural beauty. Here, we can only recommend a couple outstanding parks that you will not want to miss, and refer you to our webpages below.
Khao Yai National Park is a natural, national treasure, and only a few hours drive from Bangkok, quite amazingly. It is home to wild elephants, tigers, bears, gibbons, monkeys, and also contains numerous, gorgeous waterfalls.
Doi Inthanon National Park makes an excellent day trip from Chiang Mai.It contains the highest peak in Thailand (2,565 meters or 8,415 feet) and is a bird-watchers’ mecca. It is also a great place to visit waterfalls and stop by a few ethnic Karen or Hmong villages.
