The vast majority of visitors to Thailand fly into Bangkok’s sparkling new Suvarnabhumi Airport, about a 45-minute drive to most Bangkok destinations.  The old airport, Don Muang, is now used for some domestic flights only, primarily by Nok Airlines.  If you are flying domestically, do be sure to check which of the two airports you will be using.

In recent years, the skies of Thailand have been busier than ever, with the addition of more and more low-cost carriers, in addition to the national carrier Thai Airways International.  Among these are Nok Air, Bangkok Airways, Orient Thai Airlines, and One-Two-Go Airlines.
