Where to Go
The most convenient way to get to and explore Chai Nat is by car. It is possible to take a bus to Chai Nat, but then visitors must rely on local transportation in order to get around the town and to the nearby attractions.
From Bangkok take Highway No. 1 (Phahonyothin Road) and then Highway No. 32 (Asian Highway), passing Ang Thong and Sing Buri; turn left at Km. 183 to Chai Nat, a total distance of 194 kilometers.
From Bangkok, there are both air-conditioned and non air-conditioned buses to Chai Nat. Buses leave Bangkok’s Mo Chit 2 Northern Bus Terminal daily from 5.00 a.m. to 5.50 p.m. It takes two and a half hours to travel between Bangkok and Chai Nat. The easiest way to travel around Chai Nat is by local transport, either tuk tuk or songtaew (a truck with two rows of benches at the back). However, the best way to have freedom to explore at will is by renting a vehicle from Bangkok or Ayutthaya if you would like to explore attractions in the rural areas.
