Hotel Bars

Every self-respecting accommodation has its own bars, but some are so good you may get to leave your hotel all evening.

Drop by at the Diplomat Bar at the Conrad Hotel in Nonthaburi and you’ll find a mix of modern and traditional Thai style along with soft tones that together form a cool, classy bar that often has its own jazz singer. Also in the capital is the Met Bar, part of the Metropolitan Bangkok. While it’s only for guests and members, if you can get an invite you’ll be able to enjoy the lounge-style bar and a host of DJs. Aqua at the Four Seasons in Bangkok is worth a look as this open-air cocktail bar is set amid lush surroundings and is famed for its top-notch martinis. The V9 Wine Bar, up on the 37th floor of the Sofitel Silom in Bangkok, is also particularly good with its sleek, silver-blue theme and spacious layout.
