Just off the coast of Krabi, Ko Lanta is popular with tourists seeking a holiday away from the parties. It consists of several islands, the two largest of which are Ko Lanta Noi and Ko Lanta Yai.

Ko Lanta Yai is where most of the accommodations and activities are located, though here walking along the beach and watching the sunset is the order of the day rather than partying and dancing.

Ko Lanta is a little less well-known than Ko Phi Phi, but it is hardly undiscovered; on the west coast of Ko Lanta Yai are lined with an assortment of resorts and bungalows, though there are plenty of sparsely populated beaches and good value accommodation, with both budget bungalows and mid-range hotels and resorts.
