All major car rental companies provide services in Thailand’s major cities.  Additionally, very reasonable limousine companies operate within and between the big cities, a viable and reasonable choice for many seniors, given that you will have a chauffeur driving the car who knows the country, and can save you a great deal of trouble.  Many offer trained English- and other language-speaking guides.

For the more adventurous, several major car rental companies offer well-planned and mapped out “self-drive” tours.  Be sure to bring along your international driver’s license, and begin your trips slowly and carefully, as most accidents happen shortly after picking up and getting used to a new rental car.
