During this period, there is the Elephant Parade Bangkok event from December 15, 2024, to February 15, 2025. If you go during this time, you will encounter creative and cute elephant sculptures placed in the Talat Noi and Song Wat Road areas. If you find them, you can take photos and share them.
✨ Talat Noi Museum ✨
A place showcasing stories of history, economy, culture, and tidbits of knowledge related to the Talat Noi community. Originally, this place was an "old lathe shop," a place for making parts for boats, machinery, and rice mills. Today, in addition to becoming an important source of knowledge for the community, it is also a creative space for organizing various activities for people of all ages.
The building is located at Phanurangsi Pier, with large trees providing shade amidst a small green garden. Every first weekend of the month, there is the "Talakkia Friendly Market," which is like a community flea market ("Talakkia" means Talat Noi, as it is a commercial area extending from the larger market, Sampeng)
The Talat Noi Museum has 3 floors. The 1st floor is a registration and information point, exhibiting coins from various periods of Thailand, a souvenir shop, and a multipurpose area for rotating exhibitions.
.
The 2nd floor is an exhibition telling the history, traditions, and culture of the Talat Noi community through various interactive media displays.
.
The 3rd floor screens an animated film about the history of Talat Noi, showing how its cultural diversity has blended into a unified whole.

✨ Timo and Tintin ✨
A Modern Contemporary Loft style cafe converted from a 5-story old shophouse into a semi-gallery coffee shop that is airy, open, and comfortable.
The highlight of the shop is the decoration with cute line art, unique to the shop owner, on the walls, mirrors, and glasses, giving a playful and adorable feeling. You can take photos without getting bored.
For drinks, the shop offers both coffee and non-coffee options. The desserts are also delicious, but the highlight is the rooftop, which offers a view of the Chao Phraya River. If you come in the evening, the view should be exceptionally beautiful.

✨ Chow Sue Kong Chinese Shrine ✨ Chow Sue Kong Shrine (Wat Sun Leng Yi) The next place is considered the oldest and most important shrine for the Hokkien Chinese living in Thailand. It was built in 1804 AD. The front faces the Chao Phraya River. Inside is enshrined the deity Seng Chui Chor Su and other deities revered by the Chinese, including Phra Thai Chue Ia, Chao Pho Guan Yu, Chao Pho Suea (Tiger God), and the Thirty-Six Heavenly Generals.
The Divine Doctor, or the deity Chow Sue Kong , is the principal deity of the Hokkien group. Most people commonly come to ask for three blessings: "health, peaceful living, and good fortune."
This shrine still distinctly preserves the style of the Qing Dynasty, both in its stucco art and building layout. If anyone wants to see the architecture of an ancient-style shrine, this is the place to come.

✨ Hon Wong Shrine (Rong Kueak Shrine) ✨
An ancient shrine dating back to the reign of King Rama V, located on the banks of the Chao Phraya River, originating from Hokkien Chinese merchants who invited the deity Hon Wong Kung from China to be enshrined before building the shrine as it is seen today
If you come here during Chinese New Year, you will find a particularly lively atmosphere. There will be altars set up for worshiping Cai Shen Ye (the God of Wealth). Anyone interested in worshiping can buy offerings, including joss paper, to offer.

Buddy ending the trip at the photo exhibition by Julien Spiewak at ✨ So Heng Tai Mansion ✨, an ancient Chinese-style house with a U-shaped layout, which is currently converted into a cafe, and because the owner's son is very fond of diving, a swimming pool was built in the middle of the house and it also operates as a diving school.
In front is the location of ✨ SOUL’S CAFE ✨, a cafe that just opened a little over a month ago. It was created by the heirs of So Heng Tai House joining forces with a chef friend. They have delicious ice cream flavors that are unique. Buddy tried the Foi Thong flavor, which is not too sweet and has actual Foi Thong strands to chew on—very delicious! Another flavor I tried was coconut milk, which the shop infuses with fragrant smoked candle aroma.
.
In addition, the shop also offers Thai tea, plum, dried banana, Kra Ya Sart (Thai sweet made from rice, nuts, sesame seeds, and sugar), fried snacks, and drinks for sale. Anyone walking by can stop here. Buddy highly recommended.
.
⏰Open daily from 10.00 a.m. - 06.30 p.m.
In the "Rang Ruam Samai" exhibition, you will see Julien's photographs that are like an encounter between furniture, objects, and the human body, with beauty and uniqueness.
This exhibition is held in two periods:
January 9 - 26, 2025 at So Heng Tai, a 250-year-old Chinese mansion in the Talat Noi area.
February 6 - March 9, 2025 at West Eden Gallery, Sukhumvit Soi 31.
.
When walking around inside the house, you should walk carefully and respectfully. Please do not enter any private or restricted areas.
