Kamphaeng Phet province is an old town of Historical significance. Located in the lower north of Thailand, formerly known as "Chakungrao City", with an important Archaeological site and Kamphaeng Phet Historical Park.  Kamphaeng Phet Historical Park consists of city walls, moats, fortifications and ancient temples such as Wat Phra Kaew, Wat Chang Rob, Wat Phra Si Iriyabot that is still beautiful with outstanding laterite architecture until was registered as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
